Can’t get that natural glow from your shower routine?

Ok, have you ever noticed how some people always look so clean! They look like they’ve just stepped out of the shower after an 8-hour work shift.
What I have come to find out is a few things that will not surprise you. Or maybe they will, but I know one thing for sure: It will get you the results you’re looking for.
Here are the tips and routines to get that naturally glowing skin or the “clean girl” aesthetic.
8 Tips That Will Get You The “Clean Girl” Look
1) Exfoliate

I always choose sugar, AHA or BHA scrubs over salt simply because they do not burn or alter your pH. It’s also just the idea of something sweet and light. Just as you use an exfoliator for your face to achieve a better clean, the same principle applies to your body.
Bounes: Dry brushing helps improve blood circulation and removes dead skin cells from the skin’s surface before showering. You dry-brush by taking a body brush and gently brushing your skin, pushing the brush away from you as if you’re wiping something off.
You do this right before the show. I do this occasionally for the blood circulation benefits.
2) Acne soap
Now I go in with an acne soap. This type of soap typically contains natural anti-inflammatory ingredients that work well after an exfoliation treatment.
Keeping your skin protected from possible future breakouts and preparing it to absorb treatment products more effectively.

3) Collagen or Hyaluronic Acid body wash
Collagen or hyaluronic acid body wash is one of two different body washes that consistently leave the skin hydrated and plump.
4) African exfoliating cloth

And last but not least, use an African exfoliating cloth as your cleaning tool. You will definitely be squeaky clean after this.
5) High-quality oil (that does not mean expensive)

Shea mouitures coconut and hibiscus body oil has not changed its formula, so I still use it because it works. Other hydrating oils work great as well.
For a real glow, apply the oil while you’re still wet from the shower. Air dry and even on the night, people around you will smell and see the difference.
6) Shave, wax, or laser

Simple, do what’s best for you. They all get the job done.
Quick Tip: If you shave, shave in a downward motion. Never shave against the direction of your hair growth. This will cause ingrown hairs. And exfoliate a day before you shave or wax. Trust me.
7) Sweat Tee (slugging)

Slugging is a technique where you apply shea butter or cocoa butter directly to your skin right before bed. Sleep in an old T-shirt you don’t care about, and over time, your skin will become baby-soft, firm, and glowing.
8) Stay hydrated, and not just with Water
Water is essential, and I recommend drinking half of your body weight in water daily. However, there are other options you can try, such as fresh-pressed juice (watermelon, etc.), sparkling waters, and infused waters, as well as any natural juice with high Vitamin C content, like orange juice.
Perform this routine daily, using hot water for optimal results.
