So, lets talk plant mom life. Plants can be apart of your healing, a peices of therapy or just living your best life journey. I recommend every girl have a plant though as it adds so much to your life you probably never noticed. Like, purifier, calming vides, a constant reminder of growth and natural beauty. I want that for you! I really really do. So, lets just get into this list girly.
#1
The Ficus Plant
We are going to start off with my favorite plant! Can you guess what it is??
The beautiful one and only Ficus. This plant has the most luscious big green leaves, perfect for any look your going for in any space. I love this plant personally because of how cute and low maintenance she is (Yes, I name my plants “). You only need to water this plant every 5-7 days or when ever the top of the soil feels dry. You can over water this plant so please be a lazy girl here and let her dry out SOME but not completely though just some.
This plant loves indirect light so this is why it it such a great option for indoor living. Your ficus can live as long as 20 years but to keep it happy plant it in a draining pot that is 3 to 4 times bigger than the potter it was purchased in. I do want to mention that they needs to be kept away from pets; the leafs are not great for them. But lastly this plant is a great air purifier says NASA and a good luck charm.
#2
The Snake Plant
I had to include the snake plant. Its a tall 2-toned plant that adds gorgeous green vertical lines to a room. Compared to the ficus this plant would require even less maintenance. You water this plant when it has completely dryied. In cooler wheather you will only need to water it once every two weeks or if its still moust; onces a month! This is a desrat plant so warm areas around 55F in your home is ideal.
For sun, this plant did make the list because it can thrive indoors, so indirect sunlight works for this gem. For good energy I would recommend placing the plant at the entry-way of your home and for nice clean air in the morning, place in your bedroom as it is a natural purifier. It can remove harmful chemicals in the air such as xylene, trichloroethylene, toluene, benzene and formaldehyde.
#3
Marble Queen Pothos
If you like vine like plants than the Marble Queen Pothos is your plant. I love the look of this plant. It gives earth girl vibes and I am hear for it! This plant is lime green with varying variations of green and creamy white spots sprinkled thought-out the heart shaped leaves. The leaves feel waxy, so you can wipe them off sometimes to reveal the vibrant color and allow the plant to take in more sunlight. You should also water this plant once a week.
Starting off, if this is a new plant I would say to leave it in a smaller nursing pot until out grown, then transfer. These plants like snug areas, so one pot size bigger would work. My favorite thing about this plant is you can cut and regrow this plant as much as you want because it is a vine. Re-plant in water and place in good areas in the home to see how far she will grow.
#4
Dracaena Gold Star
Each Dracaena Gold Star grows uinquirs with yellow and green leafs stringing from a single stalk. This is a evergreen plant so it can grow as tall as 10ft or more. I keep this plant in a corner in my office close to a window but not right by the window. This plant does while in indirect sun light but can also do well in deemer light bu this will slow the growth of the plant if your cool with that.
Careful with this plant tho that sometimes inserts do like to get it, so some pest control is needed for some. The mantiance on this plant is about the same as a Ficus. I would say water once every 5 days or when 75% of the top soil is dry.
#5
The Dieffenbachia Plant
This plant comes in the most beatuifyl varyations, but if beatuify could kill.. girl… If you are looking to live on the dangouse side lol.. no… this plant gets a bad rap but it’s ok. I would say though parents and pet owners should stay clear of this plant just to be on the safe side.
If you chew on them steam it could get a little dangrous. But, I dont think I have to worry about anyone here chewing on houseplant stems lol, so back to the god stuff. This plant is pretty simple to keep healthy. Just water once every two weeks and you should be gloden.
#6
The Money Tree
Having a money tree plant in your home is said to bring good luck and positive enegergy to the place. This is a house plant that is great for a feng shui type of girl. It’s low manictance where you only water it once every two weeks.
This plant should be put in front of or by a window for best growth practices. Use plant seed in the summer to keep it happy and let dry down some in between watering.
#7
The Peace Lily Plant
This plant looks more like a flowery plant. It is also the only plant on this list I have not owned so far. I had to include though because it is a really pretty plant with large vainy dark green leaves and a beautiful white flower.
I thought this plant would be great for the more classic look girl. It doesn’t need direct like but place some where in the home where it is the brightest for at least 2 hours a day to really see it blossom.
#8
The Ocean Spider Plant
So, the Ocean Spider Plant is a cascading plant that would look really great in a hanging planter. The fully grown pant should be transfered to a regurler floor planter as they can get pretty big after some time. This plant is light green with a cream color margin.
I would say this plant is the easiest out of them all to care for becauase it can withtand a good amount of neglect. Forget to water it for a few weeks? No problem, this plant will keep thriving! Nice right lol.
#9
The Aloe Plant
This would be a multi-use plant. You are not only bringing a plant element into the space but it also can be used for medicen, hair care, skin care & self-care. I think of this plant as a caring plant that heals. Who wouldnt want this plant added to their collection.
This plant grows slow so to keep it on a good track plant in a pot 1 or 2 sizes bigger. Make sure the pot has great drainage and place the plant in a room with bright sun light. Also, temp matters with this one so keep it steady or the plant might not adapt quick enough.
#10
The Monstera Adansonii Swiss Cheese Plant
It gets its name from the large heart shaped leaves that begins to develop holes as it ages. I like the this plants look in a bedroom book shelf or hanging because it tends to cascaed down with time. It gives the room a fun and of course lifely look.
This plant actually like humity and tempertures aound 70f-80f degrees. If thats to hot for you no worries this plant can adapt to your temp just keep it stabale. And if you feel like it needs a little more love sometimes, you can mist it lightly for added misuoter.
