Just because you’re just now getting into your career or just trying to be responsible with your money. You know, boring stuff. You should be able to wow your friends on your Saturday annual game night. So, lets set the tone. The tone is you are now the stylish home interior friend. Well, at least for your gallery wall. Huh, because that’s why we are here, soooo stay with me… this is going to be good.

First things first you want to find your style of art. I have learned the best-looking gallery walls are focused on images of family, your relationship, abstract art, variations of nature, watercolors, graphics, or images mixed with quotes.

Now, that you have your look, here is my little secret to getting prints and images for the low! or just unconventionally and random but here it is lol. 12 options and the first option is…

Highlight Covers

Yes, girl! You heard me. Instagram highlight covers! They have the cutest images when blown up. You can get anything from watercolors, bright bright colors, lovely nude colors, abstract art, full images, and the list goes on. Take your pick, and they’re all so pretty. You can find a few of my favorite at places like Etsy, Creative Maret, Instagram illustrators & Google pics. Now, there are some you have to purchase, the trick is purchase the small or 5×5 size and get it blown up by your local print shop; I know FedEx does this as well to an extent.

Esty Creators

If you didn’t know, a lot of artists go to pleases like Etsy to show and sell their work. And it is no secret that the quality is there. It’s like going to an art show but with no budgeting wars. The price is the price and the work is amazing. I use PMWatercolors a lot for switching up my wall when I want full-color black girl art, which is often.

Stock Wedsites

A stock website is also a great option for those that love the photo shoot look. Go to their website and type in any topic in their search bar and I promise they will have images. They also have types of styles like editorial, photos, illustration & vector files depending on if you want to edit your photos or not. You will never run out of options. These websites usually offer a free trial download like for instintes Shutter Stocker fly does this. There plans available to chose from but we are not looking for new images every month just enough for a wall, so a plan is not necessary. If you need more pictures than the 10 offered you can purchase more separately.

Local Artist

I find local artist through networking, word of mouth, soacil media, Linkedin & pop-up showcases. I haven’t been able to do this often, but I am going to do more local shopping for art this year, because the artists in my area are really talented and I just love to shop local. You can find local art in your city by visiting exhibits. Some are pormonet and some are seasonal. If this is your fist time trying to find local art exhits, keep a eye out for your city or towns local newspaper. Yes! they still make newspapers and the local newspapers alwasy feature things like this.

Instagram Illustrations

You can find some really goergouse illustrations on Instagram now. Becasase its almost like their personal portfolio. Its as simple as searching artist on Instagram. You go page by page to find your style of artist. More than likely that artist will have a link to their shop. Have fun.

Google

Don’t sleep on google. You can find some really cool pieces; I mean it is google. Type in your style of art or what you are wanting and you will find something to go with your aesthictic.

Your Own Photos

The easiest type of photo to find is yours. Also, take your phone and get to capturing moments.
