Want to know how to make insanely tasty and clean protein shakes every time? These 3 simple rules are the tested-and-approved clean protein shake guidelines you need to know.

Starting a cleaner, smoother routine is extremely exciting and confusing at the same time. At least it was for me.
As a practicing clean-lifestyle girl myself, I am sharing my top 3 rules that have saved me a ton of money and improved my health. These tips can make the most amazing-tasting smoothies that always deliver all the good your body needs.
This post is about how to make insanely tasty and clean protein shakes every time.
Best tips on making tasty, clean protein shakes
1. Picking your protein powder

One of the main ingredients you will need is clean protein. This will be a surprise but you are going to bypass the words on the front of the protein package: like vegan, 100% clean, premium, no GMO, etc… and instead go straight to the back of the package to the Ingredients List.
To purchase a clean protein —whether it’s WHEY protein, vegan, or anything else— you are going to start by getting a protein with four or fewer ingredients.
This will be hard at first, but after you find one with simple ingredients, then you can turn it back over and read more of what it claims to have or not.
This ensures the product is as natural as possible and not mixed with many other filler ingredients or concentrates. You do this by reading the ingredients listed on the back of the product.
2. The type of fruit you should add to your smoothie

Now let’s make this smoothie taste good. You will always need to add a frozen fruit to your smoothie.
The veggie is optional at this time, but to make an amazing-tasting smoothie every time, you have to include a fruit, and it should be frozen. You can freeze your own or buy frozen.
My favorite fruits to add are frozen blueberries, pineapples, mangos, or strawberries. If you want to add veggies now, go for it!
The veggies will add vitamins and nutrients to your smoothie. I add veggies sometimes, and I don’t even taste them when I follow these rules.
3. Adding a natural sweetener

Last but not least, you will always need to add a natural sweetener and use it generously. A few of my favorite sweeteners are honey, agave, and bananas. Dates are great as well, they’re just too sweet for me.
Blend everything with your milk of choice or coconut water and enjoy. My favorite milk to use is oat milk.
You can make endless combinations with these simple rules. Try it out! I know you will love it.
