A mix of diet plans to spark a new favorite dinner dish idea created by Black Chefs & Authors.

I love a good decor book, but these books are not just pretty to look at. These authors are GOOD. And I do mean good. Good at what they do and are making considerable waves in the culinary world.
One book that I absolutely love is “Jubilee: Recipes from Two Centuries of African American Cooking” by Toni Tipton-Martin. This book offers a diverse range of dishes, each with a distinct taste that transports you from New York to the deep South in a single page.
I also love the little history lesson you get when going through this cookbook, as if you’re giving a slight nod to black culture. To me, the books also provide the reader with a glimpse into the rich culture that is so loved, yet often misrepresented and misunderstood.
But just on a cooking level, whether you are an experienced cook or a beginner, these cookbooks are sure to inspire and delight.
Here are my top essential cookbooks by amazing black chefs and authors
