So, if you’re here, I’m pretty certain you have read or seen numerous productivity tips, hacks, and ideas, but how realistic are they for a blogger’s life? I mean, seriously girly…
Can you start using the tips you found, like right now?
I hope you can, but whether you can or not, here is my SO REAL take on productivity and how you can be a productivity beast as a new blogger!
Your Top 10 SO REAL take on being your most productive as a new blogger
Do you remember that saying, “When you look good, you feel good”? It’s not just a saying lol.
It’s so so true!
1. Look Good, Feel Good
So, #1 – Get up and take a shower, do your skincare routine, brush your teeth, do your hair like you are going on a date lol but then put on a cute jogger set, make yourself look comfy cute! I promise you, you are going to want to get up and get to work. This works for me every time. If you feel like crap, you’re going to do crap work; if you feel beautiful and amazing, you’re going to produce a stunning, fantastic job. It’s just that simple.
By the way! If you don’t have any super cute chill or active-wear clothing, get some! They are cute, versatile, and comfortable. I would consider this investing in YOU. You deserve the world, so let’s go!
Here are a few of my top places to get cute, sporty, chill, loungewear!
2. Clean Your Workspace
I see it as clearing your path so you can really see. I’m sure you know tidying your workspace really gives you mental clarity to think and be more creative. You can really focus on the task that needs to be done when there is nothing around to distract you. Do yourself a favor and clean the workspace.
3. Design Your Desk…
The design of your desk can really impact your mood. Add some color, girly. Elements would also help keep your mood high! You need all the vibes, ok girl, like all the vibes lol. I love adding plants or flowers; definitely decor items like bookends, diffusers, aesthetically pleasing organization pen holders, white or clear laptop accessories, and of course, a pop of color with a notebook and notepads for jotting down notes.
Here are some of my fave desk decor pieces

Desk Lamp – Gold

2-in-1 Wireless Charger – Night Gray

Pen Holder

Desk Plant

A Gloss & Hair Clip Holder

Desk Lamp – a natural dark style
2. Use Your Natural Rhythm To Be More Productive
Do you work better after breakfast? Maybe after a shower and a fully refreshed apartment on a Saturday afternoon? Or perhaps you are your most creative after your gym session at 11 pm on a Tuesday?
Stop what you’re doing, really quickly, and reflect on when you feel you are ALWAYS at your most productive. When are you getting things done and fast?! This is the moment you need to capture and maximize. Don’t worry about blocking off every moment; every moment is not required. Everyone’s days and time frames are going to look different. As long as you know when this time is for you… That’s all you need. Find your rhythm and GET IT DONE.
3. Read, Research, And Work Faster
As a blogger, we combine life experiences, formal education, and extensive study time to create our work. This means we use up a lot of time and energy naturally doing what we do. Saying this, there is no way to avoid the “prep work” of our job, so you’re just going to have to work faster, girl. You got this!
4. Create A Highly Doable TO-DO List Every Day.
This list should be very micro so it is achievable every day. For example:
| 10 am – Do Morning Routine | |
| 11 am – Mindfulness Yoga and Journaling |
If you love physically checking things off your to-do list, like me, write it out and check it off! This practice gets you in the habit of getting things done. You are subconsciously training your brain when you have a to-do list to get it done! And eventually, nothing you put on that list will be impossible. It will all be doable.
5. Make A 3-month Serious Goal Plan
Again, this list needs to be doable, but it also needs to be “life-changing inspirational”. Pretty much, if you’re going to do it, why not go big right?!
Are you in your last year of your car note? Can you use the next 3 – 6 paychecks just to pay it off? Do you want to write five viral articles in 12 weeks? Can you dedicate the time & research needed to get the job done? Yes, you can.
You know the thing that always stops people from achieving their dream when it comes to productivity is EXECUTION.
“There will always be someone who can’t see your worth,
Don’t let it be you.”
– Mel Robbins
6. Use The 5 Second Rule
If you haven’t heard of the 5-second rule, let me share it with you. I love this rule, and if you are a procrastinator or a fellow perfectionist, it will be a game-changer for you.
The 5 Second Rule is forcing you to make a move. You use this tactic when you can’t decide if you should do something or get something for your business, so stop what you’re doing; count to 5, and by the time you get to 5, you have to have made a decision and do it, NO MATTER WHAT. There is no right or wrong answer when doing this. The right decision is making the decision and following through with it. Period.
7. Create A Super Solid Morning And Night Routine
Start how you want to finish. The most successful people in the world have a solid morning routine because it works. The key is to figure out what works for you and do it over and over and over again. Notice I did say what WORKS. So, make sure you see great results from your routine before adopting it. You will know you need to stick with this routine when you notice things in your life you wanted to grow are growing…
Example of a morning routine:
Wash face+brush teeth+floss+drink glass of water+ get dressed+make-up = DONE
It can be that simple; stick to it.
8. Figure Out What Time Of Day You Are Most Productive
For example, I have learned that I am most productive around the 6 pm mark. I can work without breaks for 4 hours straight or until 10 pm. I would suggest doing this with no help from coffee so that you can see your actual hours of operation, lol. Your body naturally is at its highest energy levels at a particular time of the day. You have to notice it.
9. Turn Off Your Notifications
The time you spend looking at your phone when a notification goes off adds up! So, as simple as this is, but hard for some, turn them off. When you need to get in the zone and finish a work project you need total concentration so do your future successful self a favor and get there sooner by giving 120% now.

10. Time For A Break
Know how to take a break. Taking a good break is just as crucial while trying to be your most productive. Quality work is what you’re striving for, so take some time to grab a snack, drink a smoothie, and relax on the sofa for a few. Most importantly, you want to do this with intention. If you’re going to take a break, do just that: take a break. Don’t think about what you have to do, but only what you are doing right now.
11. Change Your View
If you feel yourself getting restless, try changing your work area. Go to another room in your home or visit a local bubble tea shop. Changing your view to something new could help boost new ideas, just because you’re in a new environment.
12. DO NOT Multi-Task
I’m saying this from experience. Just save yourself from getting overwhelmed and do one thing at a time.
If you think about a million things at once like me, I really really really feel your pain on this one. I still struggle with this today. But your best work will get done faster if you get laser-focused on that one thing and nothing else. Just for a moment, give all of your attention to this one task and see how fast you’ll complete it. This is something you will definitely have to work on, but start now.
12. Outsource Girly Outsource
Ok, I know you can install your own theme, but how long is that gonna take…
I know you can proofread your own articles, but how long is that gonna take…
I know you can customize your own website, but how long is that gonna take…
I know you can meal prep your own food, but how long is that gonna take…
I know you can Google how to buy and install more storage on your laptop, but…
You see where I’m going with this…
I know you can, but this is about R.O.I. This is about Return on Investment. It is about allocating your time effectively, spending it on the most important things, and, as they say, time is money. Let’s free up your day by outsourcing tasks that someone else can handle, so you can focus on what you do best.
13. Get Off Social Media
We all know we can spend hours on “social wormhole” for too long. So, not going to spend too much time on this, but if you want to be THAT GIRL, you know what you have to do. Get off socail media and get to work (BTW – you may work on the internet but social media is different). I can’t wait to see you shine, boo.
14. Master Your Comfort Zone
What this means is you are learning to master being comfortable with leaving your comfort zone at any time. Sometimes becoming your most productive self is going to require you to do things you usually don’t do. This means you are going to have to train yourself to be comfortable with being uncomfortable.. for a while. Eventually, you will be the person who is comfortable in any situation. And everyone loves that person lol.
But of course, you’re not doing it for everyone. You’re doing it for you.
15. Time Block… To A TEE
If you are ready to execute, let’s time block! Assigning one task per time block is amazing for crushing goals. You can set one task for a 2-hour time block or an 8-hour time blockāno matter the span of time, as long as you complete the task. I always allocate extra time to a new task if I have one because I don’t know how long it might take, and I don’t want to miss a time slot and fail to complete it. If you do, no big deal be patient with yourself and try again tomorrow.
